Gather your friends, family, kiddos and grandkids and roll up your sleeves to get some holiday baking done!  In our Virtual Holiday Baking Class we will walk you through classic cookie dough making so you are well on your way to putting together beautiful Christmas Cookie boxes to share (or not!) over the holidays.  Our casual, fun approach is the perfect way to spend a Saturday afternoon in the kitchen.  Opt-in for our Ingredient box, where everything is pre-measured for you!

Total Ingredients Required:

8 cups all purpose flour

2 ½ cups granulated sugar

3-4  cups confectioners (icing sugar), approx.  

½ cup cocoa powder

2 cups brown sugar

3 ½ tsp. baking powder

1 ¼ baking soda

3 tbsp. cornstarch

2 tsp. kosher salt

1 tsp ginger

½ tsp cloves

½ cinnamon

⅛ tsp cardamom

2 tsp. vanilla

½ cup dark (72%) chocolate, such as Lindt

¼ cup Molasses

¼ cup pickled ginger

2 1/2 cups (1 lb) + 4 tbsp. unsalted butter

Optional: Sprinkles, decorations, food colouring

5 large eggs (NOT INCLUDED)


Begin to Divide Up Ingredients Ahead of Time if Possible, as such:


Recipe 1:

1 cup all purpose flour 

½ cup cocoa powder 

1 tsp. Baking powder 

¼ tsp. Baking soda 

1 tsp. Kosher salt 

1 ½ cups brown sugar 

3 large eggs

1 tsp. Vanilla 

½ cup dark (72%) chocolate, chopped 

4 tbsp. Unsalted butter 

½ cup white sugar 

½ cup icing sugar 


Recipe 2:

1/2 cup (125g) butter

1 cup (200g) sugar 

½ cup (125g) brown sugar 

¼ cup (70g)molasses 

1 egg

2 cups (265g) all-purpose flour 

3 Tbsp (30g) cornstarch  

½ tsp salt

1 tsp baking soda

½ tsp baking powder

1 tsp ginger

½ tsp cloves

½ cinnamon

⅛ tsp cardamom

¼ cup pickled ginger (50 g)


Recipe 3: 

1 cup unsalted butter, softened 

1 cup white sugar 

1 egg 

1 tsp. Vanilla 

3 cups all-purpose flour 

2 tsp. Baking powder 

Pinch salt 


Recipe 4:

1 cup unsalted butter

1/2 cup icing sugar

2 cups all-purpose flour 

¼ tsp. kosher salt
