Join Chef Julia Mitchell for this authentic Mexican cooking class to celebrate Cinco de Mayo in style!  Julia has spent time in Mexico living in the mountains in San Miguel de Allende learning authentic Mexican cooking from the local cooks and chefs.  She is excited to teach you the magic of how Mexican cooking uses layering techniques to achieve truly unique tastes.  This traditional Mexican Family Meal is sure to knock your socks off!  We'll begin with The Perfect Michelada (Spicy Mexican Beer and Lime Cocktail!)

The Michelada Cocktail 
Homemade Tortilla Chips 
Authentic Guacamole 
Chicken Enchiladas with Salsa Verde

Ingredient List: (everything is included in the ingredient pack except oil & salt) 

3 ripe avocados

1 1⁄4 lb. tomatillos or green tomatoes

3 Roma tomatoes

6 serrano chiles

1 ½ white onion

4 serrano chiles

4 cloves garlic

½ bunch cilantro

4 limes

1 small red onion



1 lb. boneless chicken breast

1⁄2 cup Mexican cream crema or sour cream

3 ozs. ranchero cheese or queso fresco


24 corn tortillas

2 tsp. Worchestershire Sauce
2 small cans of beer 
2 tsp. Mexican Hot Sauce, such as 
Tapatío brand 

2 tsp. Tajin (mexican chili salt blend) 


You will need to provide:

About 2 cups cooking oil (such as canola, peanut, vegetable, sunflower oil)

Salt, as needed
ice for drinks
